An embarrassing moment changed my way. Do you have any such moment in your life?
When I was 17 I got my first smartphone. I was the second one after my brother to have a smartphone in my family. Where my parents use to access a small featured phone.
They use to ask me to show the family pics, temples, and sacred videos in my free time.
In my intermediate. Our class has a separate group on WhatsApp. Despite the official class group we also had a backbenchers group where we use to share all the 18+ content, memes, videos, etc.
After seeing deleting them would be a big task for me.
On the day of Diwali, I got many wishes from everyone with images. One of our mischievous friends has sent a Diwali wishes image with naked women holding lamps in the dark. like that many such pics are filled in my WhatsApp.
So as I got I have deleted all those A-rated stuff in with multiple select.
My cousins from Delhi, Bangalore, and Pune shared their celebrations in our family group and informed my dad in a call to go through them on my WhatsApp.
Dad: Beta just now I called Akka, she asked you to show their pics.
Me: Yeah! Dad. Let me show.
I just opened my gallery and went to WhatsApp photos and started showing all the family pics to him. My father was happily swiping the pics and talking to me. Suddenly a pic with semi-naked women holding lights in hand has popped up.
My mind: what the heck! From where did this pic come. How did you forget to make sure after mass deleting the pics idiot? Now you're gone Vishnu! (Facepalm)
Dad: what is this?
I just took the phone from his hands and deleted that pic.
Me: Dad! I'm sorry actually some of my friends sends such pics. I forgot to delete it.
My father behaved so normally after my answer and asked me to show the remaining pics of our cousins.
I was surprised to see his gesture at that time. I thought my dad would kill me, but in return, he just said nothing.
Then I realized how much he trusts me, I felt so embarrassed in front of him. Then I decided to leave that group.
Since that day, I don’t join any groups on WhatsApp apart from family and official groups.
This year even left WhatsApp, too.
